So the first Downloadable Content with Kate and Bacon Man show is done. We talked too much about games and gaming and probably did too much of an introduction so we had to cut the #Gamergate section shorter than we wanted to. I spent way too long researching and typing up notes for that part of the show considering I used NONE of it.
This was how I prepared. And this was just after I got home from work today…
Baconman has a less strenuous method of preparing. He sat in his Man Cave (actually it’s more of a Man-Tree-House–it’s the second floor of the house) playing Destiny on Xbox One…
And he probably ate Doritos. Or bacon. Or both…
I mentioned a link for instructions on how to nominate people that represent the spirit of gamergate activism on the #DLCshow today. Please vote as soon as possible because there are only 24 hours left! Please visit the following site for status and how-to on the nominations. Read the rules carefully–don’t be stupid like me and alter the text in the nomination field and disqualify your vote: tidy.cc/NxzSHWT8
Thanks to @Mech_of_Justice for telling me about the awards, the new hashtag and most importantly, the rules on how to nominate everyone.
Send Us Your Ideas for Show Topics and #Gamergate Issues
Please send your ideas for topics and issues to cover for each show to @knelligan12 or @baconmanlives or use the #DLCshow hashtag. I received some good tips this morning and we can thank some of the suggestions for the next few week’s topics and guests.
Next Week’s Show Guest
Next week (2/25/2015), we’re happy to announce that we’re having Matt Rappard on the show from The Fine Young Capitalists to discuss Women in the technology industry, and how they’re represented by the media.
